Workout of The Week

So many of you have told me you are committed to exercising more this year, which I hear every year. HOWEVER, this year I think more of it will stick! And the best way to make it stick is to make sure that you find a convenient way to exercise.

Research has shown, more important than any other factor when it comes to continuing an exercise program, convenience is key. Now I don’t want to give the impression that exercise is simply convenient, but when it comes to starting and then sticking with it, it comes down to having easy access.

Pretty amazing weather we have been seeing.  Rain, warmth… so much warmth that we were greeted with a thunderstorm this evening.  Strong winds, the whole deal, just like a spring storm!  I have had a strong desire for cold weather.  I don’t care for much of it, my 2 and 1/2 decades in Buffalo really took care of that. Random Acts Of Kindness

Christmas is such a great time of year. I know that for those who read regularly, you have seen me write about holidays, and Biblical holidays vs man made holidays. And though the celebration of Christmas is not a Biblical holiday, it happens to be my favorite one. For me personally, it tends to make me want to run out into the world and do good things. The sad thing, is that I often feel too busy to do that….

The Back Injury…

So, “bad backs” are very common. They are probably 50% of the reason for new visits into chiropractic offices. It is actually the reason why I am a chiropractor. 17 years old, back was going bad, hurting during hockey practice, and built up to a point when (three months post auto accident), I was put on the floor for about four days without moving besides crawling. I saw a chiropractor shortly after that episode, and my life was changed. I was 24 at the time.

I am now, acutely aware of what it takes to make a back strong, and keep it strong, though at times, simple rest is the answer. Certain injuries require a time of rest

The Milk has all gone bad!

There is one more, very powerful reason why you might want to turn your back on conventional milk and conventional milk products. We have taught a line somewhere between dairy avoidance and minimized dairy for ten+ years now. I have come around to look harder at grass fed dairy products and have seen the benefit in them. In my house however, we have continued to stay away from milk.

Workout of The Week

So, have you heard that we are doing Max T3 classes in the office? Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday we lead a workout in the office (at 11:45am), based off the Maximized Living Max T3 principles, and loosely tied to the CrossFit workouts that I preach (it is a bit of a step stool to CrossFit).

You have to wonder, just a bit, if it is safe to eat anything from China. There have been so many reports from other countries, and ours, of contaminated products coming off of the Chinese shores, that I personally have a rule not to eat food from China. Awhile back the Goji berry made a huge charge in the US, with products touting its amazing healing properties (I am on the record as saying, there is no such thing as a miracle cure, so far I think time has shown that belief is true most of the time… your whole life added up in summation is the miracle cure… that and God)…
