I don’t think Whole Foods is evil.  I don’t believe they are using the name of health in vain, but I believe they have been misguided.  Sadly, if you were to ask 100 health conscious people if they thought GMO foods would be found on Whole Foods shelves, 90% would say NO.  Even though I have written in past Daily Sprouts, that Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s both have GMO’s in their stores.  But now, we are seeing more and more of the reality of how bad this is.  I cannot wait til we see the resolution pass that forces labeling of GMO foods!

Whole Foods confirms it knowingly sells products containing Monsanto’s genetically modified corn: Don’t ask, don’t tell!

(NaturalNews) Ronnie Cummins of the Organic Consumers Association has been protesting Whole Foods for several years, demanding the company label the GMOs it sells. Whole Foods management has foolishly ignored him.

In fact, until recently his efforts achieved relatively little traction, but all of a sudden “he appears to be a prophet,” a friend told me yesterday. Yep, Ronnie Cummins was right, and the fact that Whole Foods has sternly resisted labeling the GMOs it sells has the company in a virtual P.R. panic.

Why? Because Whole Foods CEO John Mackey confirmed in a blog post three days ago that Whole Foods knowingly sells Monsanto GM corn in numerous products. And yet at the same time Whole Foods refuses to make its day-to-day shoppers aware of this horrifying fact. He says:

The YouTube video showing our store Team Members giving conflicting responses to a question about GMOs reminds us that while we try to keep all our 70,000 Team Members up-to-speed on the latest information, clearly we need to do more. Some products in our stores DO contain GMOs…

As a result, masses of Whole Foods customers and even employees are operating under the illusion that Whole Foods sells no products containing genetically engineered ingredients. This was confirmed by the recent Organic Spies video which was censored by YouTube because it dared to tell the truth about Whole Foods.

Whole Foods shoppers have been betrayed

Imagine the shock of brutal reality when Whole Foods shoppers learn the truth. They will be appalled. They will feel lied to… betrayed. Wasn’t Whole Foods supposed to be a place of TRUST? Where the food could be trusted? Where people don’t have to conduct their own investigations of all the ingredients because Whole Foods has already done that for them? Isn’t that why people are willing to pay a premium for the groceries they buy at Whole Foods?

It turns out that Whole Foods sells a surprising amount of the same GMO-infested processed junk foods that you can buy everywhere else: Safeway, Kroger, etc. It’s all emblazoned with the “Natural!” claim, of course, which usually means “Contains GMOs” because the word “natural” has absolutely no regulatory meaning whatsoever. And instead of doing something about it, Whole Foods CEO Mackey just says GMOs are “pervasive” as if there’s nothing that can be done about it. Does he not understand that Whole Foods could simply refuse to BUY foods containing GMOs?

Does Mackey not realize that if he had listened to Ronnie Cummins two years ago, his company wouldn’t be in this P.R. nightmare right now, with its own employees caught lying about the genetically modified foods sold by Whole Foods? When corporate giants fail to listen to intelligent critics, they only end up destroying themselves, of course. And Whole Foods Market, Inc. (WFM) may yet see extreme losses to investors and shareholders if it doesn’t get in front of this GMO issue immediately.

If I owned any stock in Whole Foods — which I don’t, of course — I would be SELLING it like mad right now… especially since I have a fairly good idea of what’s yet to come out about Whole Foods. It’s hard-hitting, I tell you. Their P.R. train wreck is about to get much worse before the November vote on Proposition 37. (There is a solution Whole Foods could immediately embrace to end all this, by the way. Simply announce a $2 million donation to Prop 37 and all the critics are immediately silenced. Problem solved.)

All this also means that Whole Foods is a huge indirect financial supporter of Monsanto through the food supply chain. Whole Foods takes money from customers who buy things, then it sends that money to food producers who, in turn, send that money to farmers growing GM crops. Those farmers, of course, send that money to Monsanto for genetically modified seeds. So buying these GMO products from Whole Foods is essentially stuffing dollars into the pocket of Monsanto.

That’s why I developed the following image, which I call a “genetically modified corporate logo.” It’s a hybrid, actually, of Whole Foods and Monsanto!

Do you want to know how I have helped my daughters build the most amazing health ever?  By avoiding vaccines, and that includes the most ridiculous of all, the flu shot.  Shown to be ineffective by every scientific method available, and actually shown to cause the flu in so many cases.  The flu shot is garbage.  It is useless, vile, toxic garbage.

So when I read this article on Naturalnews.com, it made me think of all of the people who will line up for a flu shot.  It also made me wonder if we would get a media scare this year (it has been a few years since the swine flu, so it will probably happen this year… bogus propaganda).  This article on Gardasil is a perfect example of why you shouldn’t be led into the least common denominator thinking of vaccine policy, and you should do everything in your power to become the strongest person you can become.

In addition as this article allows you to see the defense of the vaccine, it brings to light something important.  This vaccine is not based on “good” science, as it is really based on the hope that HPV is the shining light, cause of Cervical Cancer.  And it isn’t, so to call it a cancer vaccine is wrong.  It was shown, based on its efficacy of 90-100% reduction in some of the most rare forms of HPV, to be about .001% effective in stopping cervical cancer.  So tell me that there is good science in the idea of vaccinating everyone with this LONG SHOT of a vaccine.

Parents blame their daughter’s mysterious death on Gardasil vaccine, send in brain tissue for evaluation

(NaturalNews) The parents of a New Zealand teenager say a drug aimed at preventing cervical cancer was instead responsible for her death, a claim that is being “rejected as convoluted pseudoscience” by a researcher at the University of Auckland.

According to The Dominion Post, a local newspaper, Jasmine Renata, 18, was found dead in her bed in Upper Hutt in September 2009, six months after receiving the last of three vaccinations.
Her mother, Rhonda, said during an inquest that before receiving vaccines of the drug Gardasil, she was fit and healthy, but her condition began to deteriorate after the first vaccine, as well as her emotional state.
Rhonda Renata testified that her daughter began suffering from a racing heart, constant runny nose, night sweats, warts, joint pain, chest pain, nausea and loss of hair. She added that her daughter seemed agitated and was short-tempered, “getting upset at things that would normally not bother her,” the paper reported.

Following her daughter’s death, Mrs. Renata said she began worrying that the vaccine may have caused it. As such, she convinced a Canadian researcher, Prof. Christopher Shaw, to test some of Jasmine’s brain tissue.

Bad side-effects immediately following first injection

Ian Smith, a local coroner, questioned Mrs. Renata regarding why the family hadn’t gone ahead and had their daughter tested for a possible congenital heart problem when it was offered.
She answered that no one in the family had a history of heart problems.
“The only person who is not here is my daughter, and she’s the only one who took Gardasil,” said Mrs. Renata, adding that the family thought about getting the tests but had not done so.

During the inquest, Mrs. Renata described how she had found her daughter dead in bed after discovering she had not reported for work. She said she and her daughter had dinner the night before.
In testimony days after Mrs. Renata spoke to authorities looking into her daughter’s death, Shaw said he and U.S. pathologist Sin Hang Lee noted “heavy aluminum staining in Ms. Renata’s brain tissue could have acted as a ‘trojan horse,’ bringing the human papillomavirus, or HPV, into her brain,” said the Post.
But Helen Petousis-Harris, of University of Auckland Immunization Advisory Center, countered that the arguments put forth by the two doctors were not scientifically based.

Defending Gardasil

“I find that quite concerning, given the gravity of the issue here, anyone who has had the vaccine may become worried, and anyone planning to have it may also become worried,” she said.
“But it’s based on no evidence at all, which is not good. You have got to make your decisions based on good science,” she continued, adding that the doctors’ studies into links between aluminum levels, Gardasil and cervical cancer risks were shaky at best.
“You start making a statement about something that may or may not be true, then start drawing these conclusions and assumptions without having any data,” Petousis-Harris said. “Then you keep going, and the more you keep going, the more difficult it becomes to substantiate.”
She said it was vital to discuss any weaknesses in the research so parents and potential vaccine recipients had all the necessary information to make proper care decisions.
“I was deeply disappointed to see conjecture and pseudoscience used in that forum in an attempt to bring a vaccine with such an excellent safety profile into question,” she said.
Gardasil, made by Merck & Co., was introduced in 2006. The maker said that clinical trials found the drug to be between 90 and 100 percent effective in preventing the transmission of some strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause cervical cancer.

More mothers, women, blaming Gardasil

Deborah Kotz, a senior writer on women’s issues for U.S. News and World Report, said she got a number of emails regarding Gardasil from readers after a post she had written saying the government planned to look into the drug’s side-effects.
“My 21-year-old daughter, Chris, got her third shot of Gardasil on June 3, 2008,” Emily Tarsell wrote in an email to Kotz. “She was found dead in bed 18 days later. She was a healthy, bright, talented young lady who played on the tennis team at Bard College where she would have graduated with honors this year.”
“My daughter developed epilepsy since being vaccinated, and when I share her experience with people, most doubt the connection,” reader Nina Kenney wrote.
“My daughter, in the middle of her series of injections of Gardasil, had a bout of Bell’s palsy that paralyzed the right side of her face,” wrote Della Smith. “Two months after that, she was diagnosed with Graves’s disease. The doctor says an immune reaction to something he can’t determine is most likely responsible.”
