The Spa – Detox in a DAY!

It isn’t possible.  If you were attracted by that title, I can understand.  The buzz word of “DETOX” coupled with the current mentality of here and now, and don’t wait, get us a bit excited when we see things like “Detox in a day”.  Even if we know it is impossible. The thing that I believe most people are unclear about, is exactly what detox is.  My wife ran into someone who likes to go to the Grove Park Inn annually, someone who she knows from our life here in Woodstock, who commented when they caught wind that we were […]

Decision Day 2014… where do you stand?

Here it is, the time when we start digging in deep to your lives.  Whether you like it or not, its time for you to realize that your decisions need to change.  Join me, or simply watch me from afar hollering my lungs out, begging you to reconsider your ways.  Its funny, my wife thinks that long term my calling will pull me from chiropractic into ministry.  But I love using guilt as a means of motivation in health, but I hate the use of guilt in ministry.  So I don’t know how I could ever make that change. Nonetheless, […]

Atlanta Snow Day

It often takes an event like Tuesday to get deep, to get to the inner layers of a community.  The essence, or the fabric, that binds individuals together.  Time and time again over history, we see the unity the comes from the impact of tragedy.  Strangers who are immediately turned into companions with the common goal of overcoming the difficulties at hand. Surviving The Holidays

The “Holidays” tend to do a lot of damage to people.  From the stresses that people “accept” to the food that they love, to the financial wreckage that is left behind them.  It is a pretty rough ride for many people.  I would guess that a significant part of the damage has already been done, here, just five days before Christmas day. However, regardless of what you have stressed about thus far, what you have set yourself up for as stresses in January, or what you have eaten, there is a considerable amount of decision left, and as your health […]

Body-Weight Exercises!

OK, so last night after my workout (WOD – Workout Of the Day), I decided I should post some of my body-weight favorites here for the non CrossFit world to see, and HOPEFULLY attempt. First, last week we did a great running WOD. Run 20 seconds (as hard as you can) and rest 40 seconds.  Be sure to start back at the EXACT place that you stopped running your 20 seconds.  You do this for 15 minutes (which equals 5 minutes of total running).  Shoot for more than a mile, but if you only get half a mile, at least you […]
